An insight into

the User Experience reference process followed in the industry in their multidisciplinary projects.

Date: May - July, 2013

Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, Bangalore

I worked as an intern for ten weeks at Robert Bosch - User Experience studio, Bangalore. Projects which go on in the studio are multi disciplinary covering nearly all domains of Design.

I was assigned to the design team working on the BODAS Display Configuration Software tool. BODAS DCT ( DIsplay Configuration Tool) which is a software tool of the Bosch Rexroth group and offers a Windows-based interface for easy, customer specific configuration of various settings and features.

I learnt how an exhaustive user experience process is followed for each project - with the process broken up into stages and timely updates being given regarding the progress after each stage. The place felt more like a learning environment - I was also taught some basics of user research and yes, sketching too. My summer internship hence was an enriching experience which exposed me to the corporate culture at an early stage.
